Alright I think I deciphered your jiberish.

I have not seen the issue yet but I am guessing your upset that Ford won the pick up truck of the year. Boo hoo and go buy car and driver for that crap. The reason Chevy/Gm was not included in this comparison is because has not enough has been changed since last year when it was all GM. The comparrison is and has been set up like this for years. They only invite new model year vehicles that have had a significant amount of change from one model year to the next (unless of course it is a jeep in which case Jeep can change items as little as the sun visor and be invited + giving extra points for being a jeep). I don't know the specifics of the comparison since I have not recieved my issue yet. I hope that helps since most of that info was probably stated somewhere in the mag as it always is, but still they get the hate mail from people who only read the captions under the pictures instead of the whole story. I bet that info was/is on the editorial page.

So, do I get a FW plate for helping out? hehehe

im not one to complain but i really don't think it was fair saying the dogde lacked trail capability as compared to the ford, well no duh!!! FW didn't order the dogde with a limited slip rear and skidplates, so what if dogde has no offroad package like the ford(just fx4 sticker and red shocks) all the dogde neede was the rear limited slip, skid plates and some all terrain tire and it woudl have equaled the ford in offroading!!!!!!

solid axle chevys cant be beat

FW does not get to pick and choose what models they recieve. It was some dumb @$$ at Chrysler who sent a knife to a gun fight.

ok... so i just read the article... and i gotta say... while there are some nice things about the ford... those vehicles aren't comparable... it's like comparing an orange and a grapefruit...
you've got two half ton's, an SUV, and two giants...  the dodge is a couple feet longer then the ford... comparing to fruit again, you've got a two mandarin oranges, a florida orange, a grapefruit, and a cantaloupe... they're all round... and that's about the end of it...

Okay, it seems every year I have to explain this because it is apparent people don't actually read the articles.

#1 - GM declined our invitation this year, as the HD Duramax models WERE eligible. GM said no, they WERE invited. Go cry to GM, not to me.

#2 - We do not spec out the vehicles, we only invite them. It is up to the manufacture to find one that will be representative of our audience in the test.

#3 - Apple to Elephants? Out of the five categories, in only one of them are these vehicles compared directly - empirical. In the other four categories, the vehicles are compared against whatever is in their class, or what the judges expectations are in the class. for example, the H2 was not compared against the Dodge Dakota in an category, except for empirical (performance, technical specs), however, since the Dodge Ram and Ford F-250 are in the same class, they are directly comparable in this test. Also, the only vehicle eligible are those that have been enhanced mechanically or those that are all-new.

#4 - Ford does not sign my paycheck. Sure they are an advertiser, but so is Toyota and Dodge. BTW, last month you probably said I was on Hummer's payroll and that is why they won, guess what - THEY DON'T EVEN ADVERTISE WITH US.

#5 - You could not give the Dodge skid plates and a limited slip and have it beat the Ford off-road. The Dodge chassis is showing its age and is due for an upgrade, although I won't argue that a limited slip would have helped. Bottom line, it wouldn't have won.

Trust me, this is a very fair test and the H3 and Super Duty won fair and square.

You give me a break.
