Forget the doubler. Since you have a OD tranny (and a nice one too) simply install some 5.13 or 5.38 gears in drive axles and you will not have crawl ratio issues with standard Tcase nor strength issues either with it. Many use doublers yo try to make up for tall gears but this is the wrong way to do it as it adds a lot of twisting stress to frame from counter torque from doublers driving tall gears and big tires. Your axles are your strongest reduction units in your 4x4, use them properly and wisely. BTW, there is a some aftermarket kits out there fore solid axle conversions but they are for 4wd frames not 2wd one so it may take some additional fabbing to do it.

that helps me a lot. i do not know much about these perticular years of truck. i didn't relize my tranny was so capable. i thought 2wd and 4x4 frames were the same, how much fabbing will i have to deal with the swap

I cannot tell you for sure on the fabbing but the frame is different up front on a 2wd truck as is the suspension and this may play a role in conversion. If you want to use the style Tcase that that year truck came with you are going to need to use a front drive axle that has diff on drivers side. For this a front drive axle out of a Ford SD truck would work.
