Hi everybody,
I'm new here but I like the way you help each other on problems and Ideas without any Boundaries.
I searched the whole net but havent found any useful data about my conversion(s). (except TEAL-J project on this site that is awsome -thumbs up- and near to my plan) so I decided to ask you to help

What I want to do is :
- Buy a TJ frame (because of its coil suspension)and Dress my CJ-7 body over it
- Buy a WK HEMI Engine, Gearbox(545RFE), T-Case(NV245), Axles(C200FE&C213RE), Suspension, ECU, TCU, ABS Brakes, ESP and ... (all electronic parts that are needed)

- The car will be daily driven, and off-road fun on weekends probably

* I dont have ANY 4x4 shop in my area so All things are gonna be DIY with help of a mechanic (my friend)+ I'm on budget

These are my Intro toughts, I know everything can be done. So any suggestions and ideas will be highly appreciated

PS. Moderator, I didn't know where to put my topic, So please move it to the right place IF NEEDED! sorry and thanks.

Better put at the very least some D44's in it front a rear. Also for what it is worth, a AMC 304 or 360 is basically a bolt in in older Jeep that had a 6 in them (same bellhousing bolt pattern) and the 360 has excellent low and mid RPM torque too (power right where you need it off road)

Summit Racing has a couple of crate 5.7's one has a stand alone carb set up w/electronics, try to find a 6.1,ya get more chest hairs on ur tj thatta way,425 hp!dana 44's with 4.10s and lockers from 4 wheel parts wholesalers. 545 in my 3/4 ton seems to be good tranny, NV5600 6 speed and 271 t case HMMM makes ya wonder. My HHHEEEEMMMMIII,ahem, pulled wicked round 2500 and up,no one seen skidmarks that long since 1970!That would be a most excellent jeep!As the coonass say,,,YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Hi everybody and thanks for replies,
As I mentioned befor, There is no 4x4 shop in my area, and the worst Scenario is that no company ship to my country (Iran), So I decided to buy the whole system from a WK to make them work together again and probably minor DIY modifications .
So I have some big limits around me couse there are not so many professionals around.
I Know D44s and D60s are much better and stronger for the plan, but can I use ABS and ESP and etc... from the WK to work with D44 (for example)
I dont want to see an orange rectangle with Exclamation mark in front of my sight all dayS long

I understand your concern for ABS and such. It can be made to work. The concern here is that with some lift and tires and a big V8, stock axles will not "play" well at all.

sorry to ask...
Stock axle of what??? jeep WK hemi or TJ ?
I know that TJ axles are not gonna make it. so I decided to go with WK C200FE and C213RE from the HEMI version of WK

it would be grand if you can get a complete tj rolling chassis. ime not familiar with the axle designations,my bad, but i think with cpu from doner WK you can retain all of the functions you need??What size tires you want to run? the wrangler rubicon axles have factory lockers and 4.10 gears and seemingly can be adaptable.

What's your opinion about mopar P5153826 and P5153825 axles?? I think these are OEM parts for jk jeeps so if it is true I can take them from a stock RUBICON in a junkyard.

Hi everyone
What about the CJ-7 Frame. Is it reliable? Can I do the Coil suspension conversion by myself? Is it strong enough (after ~30 years) or its better to have a rubicon or JK frame and put the CJ shell on it ?
