nobody is discriminating...I had a 74 c10 that you couldnt get a small floor jack under the front of it to lift it off the ground. I think lowered autos and p-up are cool, but it looks like he took 2' out of the body and looks like no problem to climb it!

I was wondering if my truck would get a response. No, it won't be a 4x4, but it will be getting 4x4 sheetmetal. I creeped my way over here after a discussion on this sites little(lowered) brother site rides.minitruckinweb.com. The discussion was about how cars are being added to a truck site and are out of place, and not really accepted. I was curios to see how well something different would be responded to. I didn't section the body 2", I removed the rockers so the door would touch the ground since they measure it at shows to see who is the lowest. On flat ground a magazine page won't slide under the door. Everyone I know keeps telling me I should build a 4x4, but I still have to bag my 79 toyota and my 95 s-10. Once it is driving I'm hoping to park the cab under a 4x4 at the shows, instead of just the bed like most trucks.

I was only wondering, didn't look at the rides profile, from what I saw it looked like a project that could go any direction from it's current status. actually at first I thought it was body parts laying on the ground without a frame, LOL.

I have thought of making a small truck all wheel drive, but wasn't sure what platform to use. I thought of a awd talon, or maybe an impreza wrx. Any suggestions on what to use, my 79 yota is itchin to be cut.

saw on jegs the other day a gt500 ford trans axle rated to 500 ftlbs, be neat to se a mid engine sports truck w/ the 5.4 cammer under the bed cover. power to weight and traction would make the killer sleeper!. think the wrx or maybe an mitsi evo drivetrain would work? saw a evo on tv do 208 mph w/hotmods,a tricky truck like this would gobsmack the builders...maybee...

There is a guy on forums.minitruckinweb.com who is building a mid-engined mazda using the cadillac northstar setup. I was thinking of going mid-engined on my 95 extended cab s-10. I want to cut out the back of the cab and mount the engine behind the seats, then hook the tranny straight to the rearend. Since it will be bagged I will have to use an independent rear so the 3rd member is stationary. With the motor mid-ship is should still hook up when the power is applied. I want it to look stock on the outside, with quiet exhaust so the person next to me at the light wouldn't know until they were looking at taillights.

Vette IRS would be cool, dana 44, think the nu vette has a transaxle???w/ the clutch n all on the rear? what be cool is a 3.8 GN engine at high boost.the balance aught to be awsum witha mid engine and weight transfer on take off.
