Hey I was wantin to know if anyone can help me with a problem I am havin with my truck. I have a 1976 ford f150 and I was wanting to put 3/4 ton axles on it and the front axle that is on it now is a dana44 and the 3/4 ton axle I bought is a dana44. what I was wantin to know is if I can just change the hubs out and use the guts of the axle in mine or change the spindles and guts out of the 3/4 axle and put em in the 1/2 axle or do i have to change the the coil spring style suspension to a leaf spring type?

yeah, the hubs, rotors, backingplates, calipers, I think the spindles are the same, either way they should bolt on the other axle. I think.......if it was a chevy.....LOL for sure.

The axle, shafts and spindles are the same on a D44 so only a hub swap is needed and brake hardware too if need be.
