What happened to the 92 Blue Chevy K1500 that had the solid axle swap?  There was an engine buildup going on it, but I don't recall it ever being finished.  What gives?  I know the truck belonged to Offroad Unlimited, they too have very little on their site. I want more of that truck!!  Thanks.  

We have plans to update everyone on the status of the Blue OX as we've started calling her. Look for information about it in the May '08 issue. We have an engine swap in mind.
 

yeah what gives? i think im going to wait on lifting my K1500 because id like to do the solid axle conversion on mine, no sense in lifting the ifs now and wasting money!

Yea, the Blue Ox is a cool rig. The ARB front bumper and Ramsey 9,000-lb winch add a lot of utility to the rig. The engine however is tired. We plan to swap in a GM Performance 383 HT Stroker out of the Super Burb and add Edelbrock's MPI fuel injection conversion to it. Should make some pretty awesome power. Stay tunned the process begine with the may '08 issue. It'll take a few seperate articles to complete it all.  

have you done a RTI on it ( before and after ) yet?
im curious on the diff. between ifs lift and solid axle.
that and one more thing here has anybody used the revolver shackles on a fullsize rig before?
