zuk transfer cases...

ok... here's one for you guys... see if you can wrap your minds around this one...  my brother just modified his wife's sami... he took two divorced transfer cases, removed the main driveline from between the tranny and transfer case so it's just the ujoint and flange, built new crossmembers for each with the front transfer case clocked vertically... he then used the rear output flange with a small spacer and mounted a second suzuki transfer case to the first and hooked the original drivelines back up to the second transfer case... since he removed the stubby driveshaft from between the tranny and transfer case it moved the whole assembly forward far enough that the original drivelines bolted right back into place... so he now has a 3 range low range system in a samurai... it's pretty sweet... and it didn't actually cost him anything but a bit of steel for the three new crossmembers...
