i think that cobra might have the jacks u want, not sure though, if you can find a cobra29 radio it has a lot of capability built in to expand with, i dont know how much roon u have in ur wagon . thinking ,maybe u can put a metal plate on top of your roll bar and mount a detachable 5' ant to it it would git out pretty well...maybe. Good luck to ya!

i have seen dual antennas on several trucks! is this bad like one radio wave interfering with the other attena or is it just for cool looks?

naughty, i have a cobra 29 ltd....not in the jeep. i currently have a uniden in there. just thinking about the super compact all-in-one deal. i really don't want to mount it up top. tyler, you can run 2 antennas if they're 8' apart, any less and you'll have problems. if you want 2, run the cable to 1 and leave the other one for looks.

yeah you can use your current coax, you just need to buy the adapter for the radio you buy which is like a couple bucks. the one i have has the jacks for external speaker and mic but not for pa system. i dont know if you can find one with it or not.

I think i saw a unit that mounts the bodie under the seat and leaves all the controls on the mike. think on the jeep maybe mount on tire rack?. antenna location not really as critical as i made it out to be chariot, its just the tweek in me showing, ive only had low power radios and i tryed to optimize the location for max efficiency. my buddy had a fibreglass ant on his rear bumper and it was perfectly ok for the distances we were in,gonna look in some websights,4 wheel drive hardware catalog on page 222 has an all in one for $149.00 TJ buddy gave me a catalog its brilliant! oh cat. no 32575. good cb to ya!

thanks chopper, i'll look into that. naughty, i didn't take offence to your post, i just don't want my radio overhead....it wouldn't work with the way i got my rear view mirror mounted anyway (pics of my jeep in readers rigs). i mounted my antenna on the "tailgate" stop, works out well, i get out about 5 miles.
