One of the gripes we hear all the time from readers about IFS and AWD rigs is, "Ya can't lift 'em, ya can't wheel 'em, ya can't work with 'em, etc." So it's great to see your guys' rigs on this site since obviously, well, yes you can lift them, and you can wheel them. And they're not too bad in stock form, either, unless you're going in for the really hardcore stuff, i.e., rock crawling.
I've been given a chance to test-drive the 2009 Forester next week, so I'll check back here soon and let you know how well the new rig handles the rough stuff. But for now, keep sending your pics! You've even got the Editor of Four Wheeler thinking about buying one of these!

I'll play. Mine's an '88 GL with 4" Allied lift kit and cheap 29" liberator tires on allied 15" wheels. I have a Toyota Taco skidplate covering my stock EA82. Car came stock with a carb, but I converted it to SPFI (or TBI) for better drivability. It also has a 5 speed Dual range which was stock and a converted 3.9 LSD in the back. Also has a sad and now broken winch on the front of it. It's mostly a daily/winter car so I also added some heated leather seats from a new legacy. There are a few more here and theres like tint and angry eyebrows, but I mostly have forgotten. Right after I built it to a lifted height I had about $1500 in it... This year it started costing me money again, as engine timing components went out after a good soak in a mud pit. So after another $300, I've got $1800 into it TOTAL including the car after 3 years of use. Mostly stock:

Yet another member of the lifted Subaru community. I built myself an 86' GL Sedan. 4" Lift, SPFI Conversion (Was Carb'd), Dual Batteries, I run a couple different sets of 235/75/15 Tires depending on season, Rear LSD, Rear Disc Brakes, more piddly stuff. Modified the tranny linkage for a dual stick mod on the transfer case. Gives me 2wd lo, 2wd hi, 4wd lo, & 4wd hi. Got a decent amount of cash into it but worth every penny. Plenty of pics... When I bought it for $100:
