If you want to show up at the trail in something unique check it out. Frame: Main rails are 2" dia .188 wall DOM. Rest of cage is 1 5/8" dia .120 wall DOM. Suspension: Long arm 4 link frt & rear All arms have 3/4" teflon heims with mis-alignment bushings on the frame end and poly bushings on the axle side. All arms are .188 wall DOM. Springs are from a Grand Cherokee. Drivetrain: Has the entire drivetrain from a 1997 TJ. 2.5 liter, 5 speed, NP231 all in good shape. Has 105,000 miles Uses stock TJ gas tank which is tucked way up in the body. Has a big aluminum Griffon radiator Has stock 4-11 dana 30 and 35. Obviously something needs to happen here. I was going to do a locker and 30 spline axles for the 35 but maybe someones got some killer axles laying around. Uses a Vega manual master cylinder for the TJ brakes and it stops well with the 32" tires that are on it. Uses a TJ manual steering box with a CJ5 column. I think a TJ power box and pump would be a bolt in. Body: The body pretty much is the cage but it does use the cowl, windshield, hood and grill from the Willys. The title is clear and it's registered as a 1948 CJ2A. It drives like a mildly lifted TJ on the road and goes really well off road not to be locked. The suspension works great. It's got a lot of articulation. $8,500 is a bargain for a rig like this. I live near Asheville, NC I have lots of pictures I can email you: jcalhoun67@yahoo.com

Very cool build, and I really like the low profile. Reminds me of the rock spider.

I always want to see build shots so hopefully y'all will like these. It really is built from the frame up.
