You've got the stock axles in it, right? dana 30 front/35 rear? I think 33" tires?

How's it holding up for you?

I've got a 2wd project that I am thinking about swapping some axles into, and was considering getting stock jeep axles, simply because you can have them for next to nothing and they're narrow (not doing full width). I'll be running a 33" tire

how's your experience with the stockers?

Thanks

he has a dana44 rear thats an aluminum housing i believe.

and yea he has the dana 30 up front.  the 30 will hold up to a 33 but a rear dana35 is a touchy axle.  I would swap a 44 instead.

if you plan on keeping the dana 35,  get a super kit for it and truss that axle. you shouldnt have any problems.

If you're swapping axles anyway why not 44/44? Just wondering...

I was trying to do it super duper cheap, and dana 30s are practically free

The project is up in the air right now, not sure which route will go. Would be great to go 60 on the truck, and put current axles on the new ride.... we'll see

Sorry Arthur, I do nt get on the boards much any more just way to busy up here.

I see you got your answer but wanted to check in and say I run 32's on the front 30 locked with an ARB and the rear is the Aluminum 44 with the AUssie locker in it and it has been real solid, as for the front I have already snapped an axle since the locker addition.

Shayna runs the Super 35 in her YJ and it will hold up with 33's.  She is pretty rough on it in a good serious way!
