1988 Chevy 4x4 transfer-case question

i have a 1988 Chevy 1500 4x4 350 motor with the 4 speed manual Muncie transmission
i want to put in a auto tranny
does anyone know what auto transmission i need that will bolt up to my transfer-case that i already have ( off the manual tranny)?
any info will be helpful

depending on the t-case you might use a 4L60 non electric version, may need to check the adapter and need to change lengths on rr drive lines and front drive lines. Find out what t case came with the auto to be sure, may need to change the linkage too

A 4L60e is a electronically controlled 700R4 or basically a 4L60e is a 700R4 with a electronic valve body. The name was changed when it went to electronic control and about that time that GM gave their automatics new names too (the THM400 became a 3L80 but it is rarely called than.
