I'm currently working on modding my 84 Power Ram W100. One of my buddies informed me of a 86-90 W250 Reg. Cab Long bed for sale for about 1000 bucks. From what he could tell me it has the 360 motor, Auto tranny and HD 8 lug D44 and 9.25 Axles. From what research I've been able to find out the HDs had bigger brakes & calipers than the Standard Axles. Do these axles use the CAD put on the 85 up dodges? If so Can I take the the brakes etc off and convert my Standard 44 to a HD? If they don't have CAD will the Mile Marker Manual Hubs I have now work w/ the HD axles? Also did the W250s use the NP208 as well? Thanks for all your help.

Never saw a W250 with a 9.25 in rear. Should be a D60. As far as front axle. The fronts axles and spindles are the same so you can swap hubs and rotors a and brake hardware between them.

Really? That's good to know. I'm gonna go look at it Sunday. Hopefully the tags on the axles and tcase are in good enough shape where I can read um and see what they are and what gears they have in the axles.

That ram shouldn't have a 9.25 rear end. It should have a dana 60 on it. As far as the 44 goes, I was running a dana 44 for a front axle with a 440 under the hood and it's never had an issue. The owner before me didn't have any problems either. That was with 39 inch boggers on it.
oh yeah.. how about a picture of your durge?
If it aint a Dodge it's probably stuck

Sorry, haven't been online lately. Still haven't been by to look at the truck due to work. But a guy at work said they offered two different GVWR W250, He said if it's about 4700( I belive) it could have a Dana 60 F. Axle. I've noticed that every HD 44 I've seen on a Dodge doesn't have a hub sticking out where this axle does. I really need to get by and look at it.
