I just bought a 2007 3712ts Raptor toy hauler and was trying to find a weight on the samuria and can't find anything, I want to put it in the back if it is not too heavy it says it will handle 3,000 lbs. Does any one know the weight of a samuria?

If I had to guess I would say somewhere around 2,500lbs...

Ok found it...

A stock 1986 Suzuki Samurai weighs in at 2100lbs. So add some new tires and a few mods and you are right about 2,500... so I was close... lol

Seriously though, if you are going to haul it, your best bet is to actually get your Sami weighed, that way you know for sure what you have. Any truck stop or large recycling place should have a scale you can drive on and it usually doesn't cost more than a few bucks to get weighed.

Have fun!

Those are going to have to be some very big tires and mods to add 400 lbs! One of the beauties of a Sami is that it is light weight and small too. If you get stuck a half dozen people or so can lift it up completely.

Not really... add tires, wheels, a hi-lift, some rock sliders, a few skid plates, gear bags w/spare parts, tools, fluids, small roll cage, ect... and you could be close to adding 400lbs...

Let's say you add 30lbs per corner for new tires and wheels (32's and new steel wheels), 30lbs for a hi-lift, 40lbs for skid plates (transfer, tank, diff), 50lbs for sliders, 40lbs of tools, 40lbs of spares/fluids, and 100lbs for a roll cage... thats 420lbs right there... granted those are probably on the high side, buy you get my point... 2500 is a fair guess

Im sure the toyhauler itself can handle more than 3000 lbs but the loading ramp is limited to 3000 lbs.

Not really. It appears that it is built on 5000lbs axle and has a rated GVW of 15.5K lbs and a dry empty weight of about 11.7K lbs. Through is some gear, full tank of water and such it will easily scale over 13K empty so 3K is kinda wishfully thinking if you want to be under GVW. The 3612 DS would have had 1000 more lbs to play with and the 3310SS another 1000 plus pounds still. It seems that they built them all on same basic chassis so the smaller models carry more weight since bigger one were not beefed up, just stretched. Not being picky here but I pay a lot of attention to useful load on any trailer because some trailer makers get "cheap" with axles. I recently bought a enclosed cargo trailer that can carry well over 8000 lbs and still be safely under its GVW rating and it just has two axles under it too. (7K dexter torsions) It is kinda a warehouse on wheels.
