Things are pretty bad up there.  alot of the trails we run are up in smoke.
heres th latest map.   15.5kacres burned as of yesterday afternoon.  thankfully its on the other side of the valley so the city isnt in danger (yet). gonna be wierd back there once things open back up.
if like to set up a trip cleaning up the trails when this blows over

yea i have been following thaqt site.  I got some first hand info from my little brother. since he is in with the Fire department there. he was at base camp all day on Saturday helping the guys out.  i guess the fire has reached the desert. but it still flaming good right up behind fawnskin.  3 structures have burned in camp whittle. holcbomb creek is toasted and the surrounding areas.(from what the fire map says)

Kevins Dads place is on the south-east corner of baldwin lake which is due east of bigbear lake, for now they are not in any danger, also Wayne's place is on the south side of big bear lake also safe for now. this fire appears to be moving towards the desert for the most part but some structures in fawnskin/camp whittle are still in danger. lets hope the worst is over and we can help get the trails get back in shape when possible....

I'm down for the clean up if we can do it.

While it sucks hard that this fire is there, I'm glad it is where it is. It would be so terrible if it were on the other side of the lake, closer to Kevin's family, Wayne, and the rest of the population of BB... hopefully they get it taken care of quickly.
