just take it slow and don't overwhelm yourselves... we tried to do all these things the first year and ended up with half our members pretty burned out on the club... but we've managed to keep it together for about 6 years now... just set goals for the club and keep working towards them...

we've spent a while getting to know some of the local business owners... we actually printed up some little flyers that we put on lifted trucks around town inviting them to join us on a run or at a meeting... we have a monthly meeting at a local resturaunt... we're in pretty tight with the local BLM because we organize cleanups of trails/roads in the area... we do fundraisers occasionally... we have a little ORV park just outside of town and host an unofficial event there every year... for the stickers and shirts we just talked to a couple of local shops to do it for us... they give us a heck of a deal... it just takes time and a bit of luck

ya that sounds like you guys are doing pretty good.  do the business' usually support you?  maybe like donations or what?  i like the flyer idea, but we really ahve no designated areas that are orv idt alot of us just go out into the badlands where many people have been before and made trails.  no one has really complained.  what kind of fundraisers you guys hold?

it's free to sign up to the BCC website
www.backcountrycrawlers.com so instead of hijacking this thread... post over there... you'll get alot more support, and you'll be able to talk to alot more people... introduce yourself on our introductions section... there are people from all over the state that post on our site...

and membership to our club is only $10 a year... if you want to join ours as well as start your own... or just expand ours to your area... but that would have to be put to a vote...
