Labor Day wekend a few of the Cadillac jeepers some locals from Harrison and a few from Great lakes 4x4 all met for the weekend. The larger amount of the group all met at the high banks in Leota Mi. just north of Harrison for some camping and wheeling. Some others like myself drove home to a warm bed each night. On Sat morn. just before we left for wheeling Mark AKA (purple rhino) discovered that he had 2 broken wheel studs. As he was taking it apart (Thinking he was out for the day)I remembered I had some studs in my little box of goodies I carry in My jeep. They weren't quite the right ones, but they went in hard. We got him going in very little time and off we went. I lead the way a bit and we ended up for a pit stop at a ATV parking lot. What a statement with a line of JEEPS at a ATV PLace. We got lots of looks. When there Donnie noticed he was heating up some. With a quick look we noticed his Clutch fan had stripped and no longer turned. A few ZIP STRIPS and it was cobbled and off again. We found some small sandy hills to climb and a water puddle to traverse. ( all legal )Well it almost can in the sides if you went to far left Then down some nice easy trails to a cupple of hills. This is were we took some pics.

From her we went just down the hill to anoghter bend in the trail. This is were the breakage begain. I didnt take time to air down and turned up the hill in a mad dash to the top. Half way up the bouncing started and a rear axle decided it had enough. Backing down was not fun!! I got a little sideways and off the trail. with a little jogging I was able to spinn the front end around and drive dow forwards. I was on my way home in front wheel drive. The group headed over to Donnies for some out back wheeling by his house as I went to fix my axle. I returned back to the group and hour latter with my pick up to find the group headed to Donnies with him haveing a broken drive shaft and rear yoke. that ended day one and the wrenching began. The next day we got together again with things fixed for more wheelin. I have a private place where we can wheel on private prop. This was full of steep hils and trails. I had to be winched back after going over a nob with know way out and got a little tippy. Donnies clutch gave out and I developed fuel pump probs. I was able to continue but Don was done. The rest headed to a deep revein with one good hill climb on it. After climbing it we decide to make a new way up. I started up a very steep grade and just let the Jeep do its own thing and wolla I was on top. Next up was Lee with his nice lifted Rubbi. with a wrong turn and a squeeze between a few trees he was up also. The rest made it with their little trouble. Then can Rodger:: Hes was driveing a late 80's 1 ton ford with maybe 33's. Wide open going where no one would every beleive. 50 degree climb and 200 feet high. Low and behold with a applouse of a life time he was on top as well. Then we all turned around (even Rodger) and went back down the grade. It was a great weekend of wheelin and it ever in the area look us up. We will take you wheelin and have anougther great time. Last thing to break was Mike looseing his exhaust on the way out
