Your choices which same carriers depends on your vehicle and the axles and ratios in it now.

well I'm talking about the 10.5 14 bolt. You said it has a "break". and it sounds like from what you said I can only gear it 4.10 and down OR 4.56 and up. so if i happen to have a truck with this axle in it, and I put 33's 0n it, the tire/ratio calculator says I need around a 4.30 gear set to bring it back to stock but it sounds like the closest i can go is 4.56. Am i reading what you said correctly?
it pays to be a winner

You are reading it correctly, if it has a 4.10 or less in it now it has a 4.10 and under carrier. For that axle you can by "thick" high quality gears in after market that will let you install 4.56, 4.88, 5.13 and 5.38 gears on that carrier so it is not a problem. You will not find a 4.56 gear at a car dealer that will fit that carrier though. BTW, there is no problem with a thick gear because it is one piece with no spacer to make it work. You want to stay away from spacer solutions.
