SuperBurb status update. The new tubular front bumper is almost complete. Notice the 8274 Warn winch... That's what makes it in opinion, keeps with the early 70's look of the truck. ![]()

Re: Long-armed & Ready, the Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab in the March '08 issue:
After the suspension lift, the article claims 52 inches on the ramp. This truck has a wheelbase of 162.5 inches, so this translates to an RTI of... 320??? Seriously? This is AFTER your mods?
Please tell me I calculated it wrong, if not, why waste the money upgrading to get an RTI about equal to a Ford Mustang?

I have a question about your Project Ultimate Cherokee - what is your budget for this project? If you don't mind my asking. I have a '98 XJ than I am getting close to the time for lifting it, and really enjoyed reading your 3 articles so far. Looking forward to the next.
BTW, I was thinking of just getting a RockCrawler 6 1/2" Xfactor Plus Long Arm Kit, but may have to rethink that after reading your articles. We'll see...

Hi everybody. i need some help with my project truck. i have a 1971 Chevy c10 custom step side that i am fixing up for my self. I'm seventeen years old and i love mudding. where i live four wheel drive is a must if you want to have any fun. haha So naturaly my problem has to be with the four wheel drive. Anyways my problem is this: i bought a new frame (year it was made is unknown) for my truck and the front differential is on the passenger side, i bought a 1988 350 engine with a THM400 trany w/transfer case but once i put the new drive traine in it i realized the front four wheel drive output shaft is on the drivers side? they don't line up. the original transfer case that came with the frame was what i made out to be a NP203 which doesn't bolt up to my THM400? just wondering if any of you guys have any quick fixes to my problem? or any low cost solutions like a conversion kit? or if i do have to buy a new one, what would fit my thm400 and have an output shaft on the passenger side? i guess what I'm asking you is if you were in my position with an extremely low budget, what would you do?
Thank you so much for your time and any help or information you could give me would be greatly appriciated!!!
Thanks again,
Suich

I have a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 that gets about 15 mpg. I installed a NP242 hoping it would increase my fuel mileage. It did not help. Now I am thinking of putting manual hubs on the Jeep to try again to increase the mileage. I think this would be about $1500.00. Do you think this mod would ever pay off?

I was wondering what your source of supply was for the poly cutting board skid plate on the Lexus Gx470 - Project Trailex? I like the looks of that.

Thanks, I was also wondering where they purchased it. When I look on the internet for it, the only thing I can come up with is cutting boards. Looks like they got a sheet of it somewhere. It would have been nice to have the source of supply info in the article...
