I reacently purchased a 1990 dodge power ram w150 i just replaced the front brake lines and took it out for a drive to see how they worked.(they worked great) but i noticed my speedometer wasnt moveing. my first thought was to take off my under dash but then i thought to look under the truck at the tranny to find the wire for it. i dont really know where to start with this. and i would appericate any help i can get.

1990 should be mechanical correct? I would start looking for a cable coming out of the transfercase or transmission. Why it would stop working after just replacing brake lines is the weird part.

As far as I know it is cable driven too and it will be hooked up to transfer case output shaft on a 4x4 not tranny because otherwise speedo would read wrong in low range

Did you check and see if the cable was in tact?
