Hello,

My name is Bill. Im a high school student in Michigan who loves off roading. I drive a 94 Ford Explorer 4x4 and my dad bought one of the last 06 TJs.

Next year i am going to graduate high school and i promised myself that i would buy myself a truck once im done. What should i buy?

i have always been a big Ford nut, but since my dad bought the TJ, i really like Jeep (dont like the new one though). I could get a Ram 1500 or F150. Im leaning towards a used TJ but i want to hear what you think.  Living fairly close to Detroit, i will never buy a Japanese truck. Keep in mind that i will be paying for this (my parents may pay insurance). As long as i dont have to pay a huge down payment im good. I am about to start my new job and save up a bunch.

BTW, im a junior in high school. I am one of the top students in my automotive department. I will be competing in MITES competition in Ohio next Friday. I like to get my hand dirty as well as my truck (if you call a stock explorer a truck). Anyway, i want to hear your thoughts.
