Hi Everybody,
I just got me a 1984 Chevy K10 stepside with a 350 4 spd. I sold my last 4X4 ('75 Dodge w100 Power Wagon) back in 1979 so this is my "re-entrance" so to speak.
The K10 was a friends hunting/mud truck. It already is lifted 6 inches, has Remington 36" Mud-Brutes, Holly carb, and a few other mods. Body is straight except drivers door was bent backing up with it open. Darn tree jumped up and hooked it. Door pillar is straight but door and hinge needs replacement to do it right. Also there is a small amount of rot in the floor at the rocker panel on both sides. Other than that is it OK. Oh, it needs a bench seat because the driver's side is beyond repair.
I figure $1000 ain't too bad a deal. The engine runs great also.
I will be here picking your brains for specific info. I am a mechanic and have worked on everything from motorcycles to large Cat and Volvo Wheel Loaders for over 25 years. I used to work on 4X4 trucks in the early to late 70's when I was into that hobby.
Take care and I'll be around.
