Ford F-150 4x2 Pulling '86 Mazda Car - Is it possible?

I am a 17 year old kid in high school and tomorrow I plan on chaining the back of my Stock '06 f150 up to the back of a '86 Mazda Car so I can see what happens. We would take all of the slack out of the cable before flooring both of the vehicles in opposite directions.
Will a 1/4 inch diameter cable be enough to hold the vehicles together without snapping?
Should I hook the cable up to the ball axle on my bumper? If not, where?
They plan on hooking the mazda up using the rear axle. It is a front wheel drive car. Is this a good plan?
Do you guys have any pointers on hooking the vehicles up or tips on pulling? I plan on putting the truck into first gear and sticking it in overdrive.
Thanks a ton.

Yea, do not do it. It is a pretty dump idea and you be lucky it you do not damage something on on of the vehicles

After I thought about it last night, I realized it probably wasn't a very good idea.
I'm not worried about the mazda because nobody cares if it getss torn up. I'm worried about my brand new truck.
Do you guys think it would have worked?
I still might try it some day.

There is no need to try it. See when you hook your truck up at the hitch and the mazda down low like that. You will win everytime as long as they don't add weights to the mazda. This will happen due to the fact that while the mazda pulls you down and will ensure you keep traction. Even though the mazda is a front wheel drive it will have a hard time getting any traction to the wheels.

This sure would make an interesting video...lol... America's Funniest Home Video style! I can see it now, the rear 'axle' flying off and landing in the bed of the truck... muahahaha
