alright so other day i was driving with my f 250 from NM to El Paso, TX. Everyting was going fine but i hit this bump on the road that totally shook me up and what not...the truck drove fine when i go to el paso but then a couple hours later when i decided to head back the truck wouldnt get out of first gear for about 15 miles...and then after that got into 2nd then 3rd and 4rth just fine, i dont know what happened because this has never ever happened to me before...just wondering if its something really serious...And also...when i put the truck in reverse it stays in reverse and doesnt go into drive at all, unless i turn the truck off and turn it back on...i dont what the deal is with this either...any help would be fantastic

This is one of those things that, unfortunatly, the dealer or a qualified shop are good for. Automatic transmitions are finiky creatures and that bump that you hit probably upset yours. It could be as simple as the linkage is out of whack or it could be a bigger internal problem.
How many miles are on the trans anyway?

So the trans was rebuilt recently or is the 27k on the truck? Still under warantee?
