Ride height question

Hi. I am new to the forum. I was riding in a Toyota Prado today and passed a Chevy Blazer. I noticed the ride height was a great deal higher than the Prado, which I always believed was quite high for a stock SUV. But the Blazer driver was almost looking down at us (I am certain it was a stocker). Whats the ride height on one of these? There is an ex military one near where I live and I was thinking of enquiring about it to the owner.

That was the last year it was made and it had live solid axles and had to sit higher to allow them to fit under it plus that design was very easy to lift even further without a lot of work or expense. I have a 89 4x4 suburban that is of same design.

My 89 4x4 burb is stock with stock type tires and the seat bottom that you sit on is approximately 37 inches above ground level. A stock fullsized blazer would be about the same as it is same body style.

Wicked, you can probably see the world in traffic. Is the 91 Chevy Tahoe the same? Love the 2 door ones

Your can see pretty good in it. The Tahoe and 92 on Burbs has a difference chassis with a dropped center under passenger area and are about 6 to 8 inches lower generally.

Let me guess, you are not in America.

We don't have the Prado here, that is why some may be confused. I do believe the Prado is the same as our Land Cruiser.

Anyway... carry on... lol

BTW, '91 was not the last year. The '92-'94 2-doors had IFS and were lower by a couple inches. And the Prado, I believe is the same as our Lexus GX470.

As far as I am concerned 91 was the last year of the old classic. The newer IFS one sat a lot lower in suspension and relative seat height too.

Yes Prado is the same as GX470 (not as equipped though)
